Replaced failed control board and verified proper operation.
Recovered Freon, repaired leak, pressure tested and pulled system into a deep vacuum before recharging. We will need to return to add 2.5lbs of R22 to top of system. Customer advised same, office to schedule.
Performed leak search on the geothermal. I found the leak on the coil distributor. My detector did not find any other leaks on the system. However, the evaporator coil is very rusty and the water heat exchanger is starting to rust as well. Customer would like to get as much life out of this unit as possible so she wants to see if we can repair the leak and get more time out of the system. I informed her that even if we fix this leak does not guarantee that there is no leaks on the system, but this is the only leak I could find. We will need to come out recover the Freon fix the leak on the distributor tube and recharge system .
